A Laquey man was killed Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 32 at County Road 5260 in Dent County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the crash happened at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, when a westbound 2008 Chevrolet Impala driven by a 70-year-old man from Laquey struck the rear of a westbound 2017 Chevrolet Silverado that was stopped in the roadway, preparing to turn. The driver of the Impala, who was wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at 11:35 a.m. by Salem Memorial Hospital paramedic Kevin Carlson. The driver of the Silverado, a 48-year-old woman from Viburnum, was wearing a seat belt and was not injured. The Highway Patrol said this was the second fatality in September for Troop I and the 21st for 2025.
