A Kansas City man was sentenced in federal court to nearly six years in prison for illegally possessing eight firearms. Gager pleaded guilty on March 7, 2025, to five counts of being a felon in possession of firearms. In one instance, he said he obtained firearms in Kansas City and transported them to Chicago, where he resold them for profit. On May 9, 2024, Kansas City police officers executed an arrest warrant at a convenience store on Prospect Avenue. Authorities reported that Gager discarded a 9mm handgun into a trash can near the store entrance when he saw officers approaching.
