Gregory Lawrence Ackerman, 74, of Edgewood, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, September 21,2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. He was born on May 26, 1951, in New York, the son ofEverett and Irene (Burger) Ackerman. Greg was raised and educated in the New York area andgraduated from Letchworth High School in New York. Survivors include his three children, Felicia (Ryan) Powenski, Miles Ackerman, and Michael(Renee) Ackerman; six grandchildren; a sister, Mary Fuss; and a brother, Wendell Ackerman. Greg was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Winnie (Paul) Dieter, and a brother-in-law,Jim Fuss.
