A car semi accident in Fayette County last Friday has led to charges and an interesting discovery. According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred just after noon on Friday when dispatch received a call of a car vs semi accident on Highway 18 near W Avenue, about five miles west of Hawkeye. Chandler struck the back part of the trailer first and then collided with Booth’s semi. The Semi and Trailer sustained approximately $10,000 in functional damages. The baby was taken into the Sheriff’s Office custody until DHS arrived.
