Kays, the Kilgore College Board of Trustees will convene for its initial meeting to begin the presidential search on Monday, Sept. 22, 2025, at noon. The meeting will take place in the R. E. “Sonny” Spradlin Jr. Executive Board Room of the McLaurin Administration Building, located at 895 Ross Avenue, Kilgore. Kays, who has served as KC’s president since 2016, has announced that she will retire effective Feb. 28, 2026. The board’s meeting will mark the formal start of the process to identify Dr. Kays’ successor.
