Sentenced to death on charges of Capital Murder by a Montgomery County jury in May 2010, 35-year-old, Blaine Keith Milam is scheduled for execution on Thursday, Sept. 25 by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Milam was indicted in Rusk County for the capital murder of thirteen-month-old Amora Bain Carson, the daughter of his then-fiancée, Jesseca Carson. The case was tried in Montgomery County after a change of venue. After a separate punishment hearing, the trial judge set his punishment to death by lethal injection. Two ambulances were already on the scene, and EMTs were standing in the doorway of the master bedroom, where Milam and Carson were kneeling on the floor.
