August visitor arrivals rose 15.5 percent year-on-year in Macau, setting a new monthly record at nearly 4.22 million. The tally of same-day visitors and overnight visitors to the city in August rose 25.1 percent and 3.4 percent year-on-year respectively, to just over 2.55 million and nearly 1.67 million. The average for overnight visitors was unchanged at 2.3 days, while that for same-day visitors stood at 0.3 of a day. They were 4.5 percent of last month’s total arrivals. In the first eight months of 2025, Macau recorded nearly 26.90-million arrivals from all markets, up 15.0 percent year-on-year.
