Looking to expand their membership, Cub Scout Pack 43 in Oakdale is putting together a special event for Wednesday, Sept. 24. “The pack is working hard to rebuild and grow after being paused during COVID,” said Scout leader Anna Wooten. “It’s a hands-on, exciting way to introduce youth to Cub Scouting,” Wooten added. The event will give prospective Cub Scouts and their families a chance to build a mini boat on site with materials provided by Cub Scout Pack 43, then enjoy racing those boats down water tracks for the ‘regatta’ competition. “Meet our Cub Scout leaders and families,” Wooten said.
