Jim Carrey is set to receive an honorary tribute at the 51st edition of the Cesar Awards, France’s equivalent to the Oscars. The ceremony which will take place on Feb. 27 in Paris. Carrey previously received France’s prestigious medal of the National Order of Arts and Letters in 2010 by French Culture Minister Frédéric Mitterrand for his significant contributions to art and film. A visual artist who’s held several exhibitions and penned magazine features, Carrey also wrote “Memoirs and Misinformation,” a New York Times bestseller. He was the subject of the Emmy-nominated documentary “Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond.”The ceremony will take place at the Olympia Theater and will be broadcast on Canal+ which is a partner of the Cesar Awards.
