ELK CITY — The area off limits to public access near the Island Creek Fire has been removed and replaced with a series of road closures. Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest Supervisor Jon Word lifted the expansive area closure Sunday that spanned both the north and south sides of the lower Selway River. In its place, Word closed portions of the Stillman Point, American River-Selway River Road, Boundary Ridge Road and the O’Hara Creek Road. All of the closed sections are on the south side of the Selway. A map showing the closed road sections is available at inciweb.wildfire.gov/incident-closures/idncf-island-creek.
