Wyoming’s unemployment rate in August didn’t change much, and the same could be said for the North-Central part of the state. The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services says the statewide seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for August 2025 is at 3.2%, which is down from 3.3% in the previous month. Sheridan County’s unemployment rate in August is at 2.5%, which is unchanged from the previous month and down from 3.0% in August of last year. Johnson County’s rate from July to August dropped slightly from 2.2% to 2.1%. The lowest unemployment rate in Wyoming for August 2025 was in Teton County at 1.5%, while the highest rate was in Platte County at 3.7%.
