A public affairs analyst, Adeniyi Ifetayo, has suggested that Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, is not desperate to hold onto power, following the delay of his resumption after reinstatement.
While the lawmakers resume plenary with immediate effect, Fubara disappointed his supporters who had stormed the Rivers State Government House expecting his return.
Ifetayo, while responding to questions in an interview on Channels Television’s ‘The Morning Brief’ programme, said that he does not see Fubara joining the All Progressives Congress (APC).
If you look at it even when he was called back, if he were someone who is desperate to hold onto the power, I’m sure he would have jumped into office immediately but it took him 24-48 hours before he resumed.
Maybe they will allow him to run for the second term.”© 2025 Naija News, a division of Polance Media Inc.
