Man stands trial over rape and sexual assault of four girls
['Jane Hunt']
Ipswich Star | News
A jury at Ipswich Crown Court was told that James Hawker’s sexual interest in children “went beyond just looking” and that he was allegedly a "contact sex offender".
Hawker, 45, of Cornwall Road, Felixstowe, has denied 11 offences of sexual assault, four offences of rape, one offence of attempted rape and four of assault by penetration.
Mr Brown said Hawker had also admitted voyeurism by setting up a camera which filmed children using a garden swimming pool.
He alleged that Hawker had also put his hand inside the swimming costume of one of the girls and touched her at a swimming pool.
He alleged that Hawker's sexual interest in children "went well beyond looking" and that he was a contact sex offender.
