Councillor Sam Murray, who represents Castle Hill, will call upon the council to review its strategy to tackle knife crime at a full council meeting on Wednesday. Ms Murray, who represents the area will bring forward the following question to the borough council in the wake of knife crime in the town. Ms Murray is expected to challenge the executive council to develop a comprehensive knife strategy after the idea gained support unanimous, cross-party, support in the Suffolk County Council chamber at Suffolk's Safer Stronger Communities Board. The exhibition referred to by Mrs Murray is an interactive workshop run by the trust which gives young people "an opportunity to learn about the dangers of knife crime and the emotions associated with living the experience in a safe space". As well as the stabbing in Whitehouse Park in September, two people were arrested following the targeted stabbing of a man in his 30s in Handford Cut in July.
