Members of the Murphy and Abergeldie teams on a recent visit to AustraliaMurphy has formed a strategic partnership with Australia-based Abergeldie Complex Infrastructure, taking a 40% stake in the business. Like Murphy, it remains family-owned and operates across the utilities, road, rail and energy sectors. With Murphy by its side, Abergeldie is now planning to take on larger infrastructure projects. For Murphy, the investment in Abergeldie represents a further internationalisation of the business. Murphy chief executive John Murphy said: “Having expanded into North America in recent years, this investment marks the latest step in our plans to extend our geographical reach whilst remaining focused on our commitment to improving life by delivering world-class infrastructure.
