A new digital resource, Memories of St Helens, has been launched to support people living with dementia by using items from the past to spark conversation and connection. Memories of St. Helens app package items from St. Helens history to spark meaningful conversations(Image: Brian Roberts)It aims to help users recall personal memories and engage in meaningful conversations with carers and loved ones. “By working in partnership with organisations synonymous with St Helens, we hope that the package brings all aspects of St Helens life together, to help some of the most isolated members of the community connect with loved ones.”The package was developed by National Museums Liverpool’s House of Memories programme in collaboration with The World of Glass, St Helens Archive Service, St Helens Rotary Club, St Helens Star, St Helens Heritage Hub, and GSK Heritage Archive. The package is now available for download through the My House of Memories app on the Apple Store and Google Play.
