THE NOTICE of election for community councils has been published today (Friday). Anyone interested in representing their local community is being invited to submit their nomination within the next five weeks, to join one of the 18 community councils across Shetland. They should also be able to commit to attending community council meetings every four to six weeks. Nomination papers are now available on the council website and must be completed and returned by 4pm on Thursday 16 October 2025.
