SSE Renewables said that the blade was being delivered to the site “to fulfil ongoing operational maintenance activities” at the wind farm, following a question from Shetland News. The energy giant did not respond to a question about whether the blade was replacing one that had been damaged. A Viking turbine blade suffered damage in October last year, with SSEN saying back in March that it was due to be replaced.
