POLICE in Shetland have confirmed that a 38-year-old man has been reported to the procurator fiscal following a serious assault in Brae on the 19 July. Chief inspector Chris Sewell said the force would continue to work closely with communities and partners to keep people safe in Shetland. “Acts of violence have a significant impact on victims, families, and the wider Shetland community,” he said. “Shetland remains of the safest places in the UK, with historically low levels of violent crime.”
