Nearly 200 homes were left without water in the seaside town after a main pipe burst on Broad Street sometime on Tuesday, September 16. Now, it has been revealed that South West Water has successfully carried out the repair of the pipe yesterday afternoon and restored water, however during investigations another part of the main needing replacement which saw more disruption for locals. A spokesperson for South West Water said: "We successfully carried out a repair this afternoon and restored water supplies to everyone affected. South West Water have confirmed that the outage experienced in town was due to a burst main water pipe and approximately 178 properties were experiencing issues with their water supply.
