John Maddocks Jazzmen will be taking to the stage in a fundraising evening organised by the Friends of St Mary's Church. The charity event at St Mary's Church on Saturday, October 4 will this year help to fund new lighting for the historic venue which is capable of hosting up to 250 people. Friends of St Mary’s Church have helped to raise hundreds of thousands of pounds since forming in 2000 to preserve the area used for many of the town's annual events.
