Going for gold: Swimmer begins quest for medal at world championships

The 21-year-old athlete is set to begin his journey at his first ever World Para Swimming Championships in Singapore.
He has been helped on his journey to the World Championships thanks to a £1,000 grant from the Dorset Community Foundation to help with training and travel costs ahead.
The competition kicks off today and runs all week with the Bridport swimmer competing in the s14 100m breaststroke.
He also finished fifth at last year's Paralympic Games in Paris, and claimed gold at the European Para Swimming Championships in Madeira in 2024, a breakout year for the 21-year-old.
His goal is get to the top of the podium and improve on his fifth placed finish in Paris.
