Graeme Smart, 66, appeared at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court where he pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing indecent photographs and pseudo-photographs of children. Smart, of of Five Acres, Charmouth, was found to have 1,012 still and moving category C images and seven still and moving images of children identified as category B.Indecent images are ranked from Category A to C, with A being the most serious. The court heard that on December 1, 2022, police attended Smart's address after being notified that he was allegedly in possession of indecent images. Christina Norgan, prosecuting, said the defendant told police the images were being held on a laptop that was located on his bed. A forensic investigation was made into the devices where the indecent images of children were found.
