Persecution of Christians in Nigeria, which has been happening for years, recently claimed another 15 lives. On Aug. 28 James Audu Issa, pastor of Evangelical Church Winning All in Ekati in Kwara state, was kidnapped; the identity of the abductors is unknown. Eight Christians were killed and nine wounded Sept. 7 when Fulani invaded the villages of Wakeh and Gadanaji in Kachia County. 7 on Open Doors’ 2025 World Watch List of the 50 places most difficult to be a Christian. The country has led the world in the number of believers kidnapped or killed for their faith.
