Suicide can seem incomprehensible, especially to those on the periphery, but each year, tens of thousands of U.S. residents take their own life. The statistics are worse for Missouri as a whole and rural areas of the state in particular. They are the farmer whose livelihood is circling a drain of fiscal pressure. They are the business owner whose terminal illness is heading toward unimaginable pain and suffering. They are the young person who can’t bear one more day of bullying.
