His Highness Aga Khan V has officially arrived in Uganda, where he was warmly welcomed at Entebbe International Airport by the Honorable Minister of Health, Jane Ruth Aceng. The Aga Khan’s two-day official visit will feature the launch of the Aga Khan University and the commissioning of the construction of the Aga Khan Hospital. During his welcoming remarks, President Museveni reflected on his longstanding relationship with the Ismaili community, recalling his first encounter with them in Ntungamo. His Highness is accompanied by his sister, Princess Zahra Aga Khan, and his younger brother, Prince Aly Muhammad Aga Khan. This visit underscores the continued collaboration between Uganda and the Aga Khan Development Network in promoting economic growth, education, and healthcare in the region.
