The Jackson mayor and Board of Aldermen held a lengthy meeting Monday, Sept. 22. Among their agenda items was advancing the creation of a new city logo to be used in addition to Jackson’s seal. Winters also announced the city had received Transportation Alternatives Program funding from the Missouri Department of Transportation for a trail from Jackson Senior High School south to the Jackson Soccer Park. The TAP grant funds 45%, or around $893,000, of the estimated $1.1 million cost for the trail. The city also will need to submit a Request for Environmental Review to MoDOT.
