City of York Council has received an application for planning permission from Mr Mateo Focarelli to convert the vacant former Snip Barber shop in Acomb Court, Front Street to a hot food takeout. The new owners would occupy a space neighbouring a huge mural unveiled earlier this year by the York-based Art of Protest Projects Group, as part of a works programme, and which saw a large turnout at its unveiling which The Press attended. Planning officers are seeking clarification on bin storage, ventilation and customer parking.
