Those looking to do some late-season camping will have to do so without open fires in some Quebec forests.
The Ministry of Public Security announced Tuesday that, beginning at 8 a.m. on Oct. 1, open fires will be prohibited in several forested areas around the province.
Since the start of the protection season, 372 forest fires have impacted 1052.9 hectares.
