GLEN ROSE – The Brownwood Lady Lions and Lions cross country squads both finished fourth in the final team standings at the Glen Rose Invitational Wednesday. The Lady Lions recorded 85 points, which trailed Stephenville (43), Gatesville (54) and Glen Rose (67), while the Lions amassed 103 points, which left them behind Stephenville (51), Godley (73) and Glen Rose (77). In the JV competition, the Lions finished tied for second place with 63 points while the Lady Lions came in fourth with 115 points. Running for the JV Lady Lions were Destiny Sharp (2nd, 16:02.5), Riley Abernathy (24th, 17:30.42), Destiny Long (31st, 17:53.49), Montanna Ramsey (32nd, 17:54.19), Natalie Dillard (48th, 19:49.9), and Brooklyn Bouldin (56th, 21:36.56). The Lions and Lady Lions will be back in action Friday, Sept. 19 in Round Rock for the state preview meet.
