September Sales Tax Up in Brownwood & Early, Down in Bangs

September sales tax allocations in Brownwood and Early were higher than September 2024, and lower in Bangs, according to information released this week by the Texas Comptroller’s Office.
Sales tax allocations received in September reflect taxable retail sales in July 2025.
For the 2024/2025 fiscal year, which is now complete, Brownwood received $7,535,686, an increase of 5.56% over the 2023/2024 fiscal year.
For the 2024/2025 fiscal year, Early received $2,338,356, down 1.37% compared to the 2023/2024 fiscal year.
For the 2024/2025 fiscal year, the Bangs MDD received $40,404, up 8.09% over the 2023/2024 fiscal year.
