': Woman nabbed for splashing paint on Boon Lay flatA 36-year-old woman has been arrested for her suspected involvement in loanshark harassment. On Sept 29, the police were alerted to a case of loanshark harassment at a residential unit at Boon Lay Drive, where the unit's main gate was splashed with red paint. With the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Jurong Police Division identified the woman and arrested her on the same day. Preliminary investigations revealed that she is believed to be involved in other similar cases of loanshark harassment islandwide. For first-time offenders, the offence of loanshark harassment carries a fine of between $5,000 and $50,000, up to five years' jail, and caning of up to six strokes.
