COLORADO CITY – In their final match prior to the start of District 5-2A competition, the Bangs Lady Dragons volleyball team dropped a five-set decision to Colorado City Saturday. Bangs won the first two sets, 25-22, 25-20, then Colorado City answered with victories of 25-22, 25-14, and 18-16 to steal the match. The Lady Dragons received 20 kills from Ashlynn Sliger, seven from Cameryn Harmon, and two each from Justice Baker and Stormy Stringer. Cloey Petty served six aces followed by four each from Baker and Adalynne Stephens, and one by Sliger. The Lady Dragons (6-18) will host Hamilton in the district opener at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
