Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 72-year-old man whose decomposing body was found in his San Fernando home on Monday. Police identified the man as Dennis Pierre of Railway Line, King’s Wharf. Officers said around 11.45 am, a 33-year-old neighbour was walking in front of his house when she detected a foul smell emanating from inside. An autopsy is expected to be done at the Forensic Science Centre in Port-of-Spain this week. Supt Jaikaran, ASP Ramsaran, and ASP Ramlogan were among officers from the Southern Division who were at the scene.
