MITCHELL — A strong start wasn’t quite enough for the Mitchell High School volleyball team to pick up a coveted road win in Sioux Falls on Tuesday night.
The Kernels nabbed a first-set win, but Sioux Falls Lincoln roared back to take the next three to collect a match victory at Lincoln High School.
Audrey Miller led the Mitchell attack with nine kills, while Kenzie Hetland had a hand in seven total blocks.
Addie Siemsen offered seven kills, one ace, eight digs and 23 assists, finishing four assists shy of 1,000 for her prep career.
Mitchell makes another trip to Sioux Falls on Thursday for a match against Roosevelt, then heads west to play Spearfish and Douglas on Saturday.
