Two years ago, she earned an Emmy nomination for playing a jaded hotel manager, Valentina, in season 2 of HBO’s White Lotus. All ten episodes of the first season dropped September 4, one day after it was preemptively renewed for a second season. How has playing Esmeralda impacted you? Valentina was obviously a very different character, but did anything from The White Lotus inform your performance in The Paper?
