A new food truck pod and taphouse with an aviation theme is preparing for takeoff in southwest Bend. The food truck lot — called Hangar 97 — is planned for the corner of Murphy Road and Silverado Springs, adjacent the 176-space Bend RV Resort. Next to the food truck area, developers are also planning an indoor pickleball center. “We are crazy excited,” said Larry Kine, one of the developers of the project and the owner of Kine & Kine Properties. The food truck setup will be organized in collaboration with Steve Davidson, owner of The Bite in Tumalo.
