Essex Police cordoned off Crouch Street, Colchester, at both ends of the road yesterday evening after reports of trespassing at the old Odeon cinema. The emergency services attended the incident and found a girl fell through the cinema's roof and down two flights of stairs. An Essex Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters were called to assist the Police at an incident on Crouch Street at 7.23pm yesterday. "A teenage girl was transported to Colchester Hospital with minor injuries." The art deco building was originally built in 1931 as a movie theatre named Regal Cinema until it changed to Odeon Cinema in 1961.
