Elaine Lacey, 64, of Clacton, co-organised the third annual Harlow to Clacton bike ride back in July, in memory of son Greg Burton, who died aged 38 on July 31, 2022. On September 7, Elaine handed a cheque for £5,138, raised from this year’s bike ride, to The Chocolate Run in Harlow, a charity which helps the homeless and vulnerable. Elaine said: “Every year since my son Greg passed away, my family and I have held a charity bike ride to raise money for those in need. “We had the honour of presenting the cheque to Jo Busson, CEO of The Chocolate Run. We are deeply grateful for everyone’s generosity and encouragement.”During the bike ride on July 19, riders were joined by a DHL support van which was driven by Thomas Dowers.
