Staatsolie plans to conduct a seismic survey in the Shallow Offshore area. 2,000 sq km, is located off the coast of Saramacca and Coronie at a water depth of 20 to 50 meters. The purpose of this survey is to collect data for the assessment of potential oil and gas reserves. Staatsolie has appointed the consulting and advisory firm ILACO Suriname N.V. for this purpose.
