Judges praised Greater Anglia for its customer-centric initiatives. Since April 2023, it has been the UK’s most punctual operator, boasting a 93.7 per cent performance rate. Managing director of Greater Anglia, Martin Beable, said: "Everyone at Greater Anglia is really proud to have won the Passenger Operator of the Year award for the second year running and third time in four years. At the National Rail Awards, Greater Anglia also received commendations in the Great Place to Work category and the Small Station of the Year Award for Bures. In the last year, the operator was also recognised at the Spotlight Rail Awards and the Rail Business Awards.
