Kandula Durgesh, Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister, while addressing the hoteliers at the FHRAI annual conference in Bengaluru said that the state is moving from Ease of Doing Business to Speed of Doing Business by creating investor friendly policies. He highlighted the latest Land Allotment policy of the government, which he said, was one of its kind in the country. He said the tourism department has land available across different destinations which can be allotted to private investors. The incentives-oriented tourism policy has already started attracting investors to the state in large numbers. In order to make the tourism development inclusive, sustainable and empowering the local communities, the tourism minister said that they have identified 100 areas for promoting homestays.
