GRAND FORKS — Western Michigan put together an incredible 2024-25 season, winning the National Collegiate Hockey Conference's regular season title, postseason title and the NCAA national title.
ADVERTISEMENTWestern Michigan was picked to win the NCHC in the league's annual poll of 30 media members.
Denver was picked to finish second and UND third.
UND finished fifth last season and knocked off fourth-place Omaha in the first round of the NCHC playoffs.
The Fighting Hawks lost to Western Michigan in the NCHC semifinals to end their season.
