Pupils of Hiawoanwu are utterly delighted following Tigo Ghana’s “Shelter 4 Education” project which gave the community a well-furnished 6-unit classroom block. Prior to this, pupils of the Hiawoanwu African Faith Basic School studied under an ill constructed wooden structure with little overhead shelter from rain. He tasked management of the school to carefully maintain the project for future generations. The Director of Corporate Communications and CSR for Tigo, Mrs. Gifty Bingley, said the project forms part of their focus on education for 2015. “We believe that the future belongs to children and education holds the key to success for every nation.
