Ghana’s oil output could reach 500,000 barrels of crude oil per day by 2024. Ghana currently produces about 100,000 barrels of crude a day. Daily oil production hit 115,000 barrels per day in June 2013, significantly higher than the projected average for that year. The country began commercial production of oil in 2010. The agreement is to be signed with Nigerian independent firms, Network Oil and Gas, ND Western and Shara Oil.
