One residence in the 500 block of South Hamilton Street was damaged by gunfire, police said. The shooting also prompted a lockdown at nearby Perry Early Learning Center, 550 Perry St.One person was arrested. Police did not release information about the time the incident occurred or on the age and gender of the person arrested.
