FLUSHING, MI – A candlelight prayer vigil has been scheduled for mid-week at a Flushing church for the victims of the Latter-day Saints shooting. The vigil is set to take place beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1 at Flushing United Methodist Church, 413 E. Main St.It’s being hosted in tandem between Flushing United Methodist Church and Flushing Presbyterian Church. Police say 40-year-old Thomas Jacob Sanford shot multiple people inside The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints off McCandlish Road on Sunday, Sept. 28 and set the building on fire.
