Built in 1910 as Stevens Hotel, the new Wine Trail Inn is slated to reopen as a boutique hotel and restaurant in summer 2026. The DePree family of Holland on Tuesday, Sept. 30, began a $4.78 million transformation of the former Steven’s Hotel at 312 E. Main Street in downtown Fennville into a destination hotel rebranded as Wine Trail Inn. Stevens as Stevens Hotel. The hotel also is rumored to have been visited by Al Capone’s mobsters, and even Capone himself, during Prohibition. The Wine Trail Inn will include a speakeasy-style lounge designed to pay homage to the hotel’s Prohibition roots.
