Wyandotte man accused of embezzling from Canton Township employer to stand trial

WAYNE COUNTY, MI — A 45-year-old Wyandotte man accused of embezzling over $166,000 from his former employer has been bound over to stand trial.
After waiving his preliminary examination in district court, Jason Garza had his case bound over to the 3rd Circuit Court in Wayne County, where he will stand trial on 10 felony charges barring a possible plea agreement.
Garza is accused of embezzling over $166,000 from Montway Auto Transport in Canton Township, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel said on Tuesday, Sept. 30.
He is accused of then keeping the payments for personal use and failing to remit any funds to Montway.
Garza is scheduled to appear in court next on Oct. 21 in the 3rd Circuit Court.
