Sept. 30 (UPI) -- DoorDash on Tuesday unveiled its new autonomous delivery robot: Dot. It's the "first commercial autonomous delivery robot to seamlessly navigate bike lanes, roads, and sidewalks, and is purpose-built for local commerce," the company said in a press release. That's the insight behind Dot," said Stanley Tang, co-founder and head of DoorDash Labs. The company also announced its new Autonomous Delivery Platform, which works as an AI dispatcher. DoorDash went public in 2020, and sold about 33 million shares at $102 per share, raising nearly $3.4 billion.
